...My approach to tutoring is to build confidence in the student's ability to master the French language through extensive practice and review. New material and grammar concepts are introduced such that when this same material is taught in the classroom, it is a review and reinforcement. This method has proven very effective.

I am available to assist students with identifying parts of speech, as well as analyzing-and improving-sentence structure. I earned my B.A. in 1979 and have been teaching and tutoring French since then in Grades 7-12.

I have extensive experience living and studying abroad in French and Spanish speaking countries, namely Senegal and Mexico but I have spent time in others. I was previously employed by Middlebury-Monterey Language Academies, a language immersion program for high school students. While I was still working on my degree I tutored college students for three years at all levels in French.
