...After studying Chinese, I spent 3 months living and working in Beijing, China. I explored the area around Beijing and also visited Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Xi'an. One of the highlights of my trip was hiking to the top of HuaShan, a mountain near Xi'an, at night and waiting to see the sun rise over the east peak.
