...In addition to having run the Latin language labs at Catholic for two years, I have been tutoring private students in the area with great success for three years. My teaching style is highly flexible, adapting to the needs of my students. With my guidance and their own hard work, my students always improve their grades significantly.

...I will do my best to explain things in a more effective way so that students are able to understand. As long as a student has begun to learn the language in a regular program, I will be able to help. Accordingly, I believe that if a student wants to begin learning Latin from scratch, there are more effective means than hiring me as a tutor.

I have taught Latin at all levels to high school students in Massachusetts and Virginia. We covered everything from vocabulary to grammar - oh that 'dreaded' passive voice - to reading and translating. We read both prose and poetry - from Livy to Cicero to Catullus, Horace, and best of all Vergil.
