...I took a break from Japanese my first year in college and placed into Japanese 3 my second year. I took Japanese 4, 5, and 6 during my third year of college and was accepted into the University of California Education Abroad Program to study in Japan for six months. In Tsuru, Japan, I was completely immersed in the culture and took the basics of the language to a more advanced level.

...I took my CBEST and passed on 12/11/1993. After passing the CBEST, I received my Emergency Teaching Credential and entered a Teaching Credential program at CSUN. I taught 5 years on the credential, from Kindergarten to 12 grade.
