...Conversing and Writing for the beginning and intermediate levels are much more comfortable for me. I took Hebrew for over 6 years at grade school and at the university level; I greatly enjoy helping others learn to speak, read and write Hebrew and especially enjoy teaching Torah learning. ...I would first teach them the letters of the alphabet and the sound that each letter makes. For letters like c and g, we'd stick with the 'hard' sounds (e.g. cat, goat) initially. With the vowels, I would teach them the name of the vowel and its corresponding 'short' sound.
