...I have an Associate's Degree in ASL/Interpreting for the Deaf. I also have a minor in Sign Language Studies. I worked in LR, AR for several years as a Deaf/Blind Interpreter as well as I helped lead the Deaf Ministry at my church.

...I also substitute taught in special ed. After that I moved with my new husband to Fort Wayne, IN, where I studied the Bible and Sign Language. For one summer I attended Gauladette College in Washington D.C. studying sign language, interpretation and deaf education.

...In college, I gave speeches and presentations in almost every class, and I always did well. I majored in marketing at Berea College. I took several courses focusing on marketing, including Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, and Political Communication.

...I became very passionate about the language. Sign language is good language to know because you don't know when you will meet some who is deaf. I have taken sign language levels 1-6.

...I also completed the Summer Intensive Program at Rocky Mountain School of Photography.I learned sign language in high school and continued at that time interpreting for deaf students in other classes. I was also very active in our high school Theater for the Deaf, performing often. My major at Augustana College was Deaf Education.
