...I myself was a Foreign student and learned the language by studying it and teaching it to myself. I studied, helped other to study the TOEFL, passed it and continued to Graduate School and further teaching. I have taught ESOL for a long time, both in the US and overseas.

...In this way mathematics, or physics, become intuitive instead of a work of repetition. While I believe that mathematics or physics is about creativity, elegance, and fun, I strongly that "fun" math should not be an excuse to avoid hard work! Only after internalizing mathematical relationships can patterns begin to emerge when viewing new, complex, equations.
