...In my approach to teaching phonics, I use: the alphabet, letter recognition, consonant blends, vowels, word decoding, digraphs and chunks to develope a foundation for word construction and recognition. I incorporate the use of oral, video and audio presentation to demonstrate and illustrate phonic sounds and shapes. I then have the student connect sounds to letters, then letters to words.
