Hard of Hearing (HoH) refers to someone who doesn't hear well. This may be because they were born with a hearing loss or they may have lost some or all of their hearing later in life.

...I have been writing since 1965 and I have an expert command of the English language and grammar. I am studying for my bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies through The University of Houston Downtown. Finding the best way to learn another language is immersion, I spent 30 hours a week with a deaf person for 6 months in order to become proficient in American Sign Language.
