I am currently on leave from my job as a geologist at a major oil and gas company in Houston. While my leave is focused on raising my two young sons, I am eager to work with students in need of help with their studies. I have taken numerous K-12 education classes during my graduate school tenure and am confident I can help students overcome the hurdles they may be facing.

...My tutoring approach includes finding different ways of explaining material to students until I find the right method for the specific student. I feel that it's important to understand that each student is unique and may learn in different ways. As such, I explore whether a student is more likely to learn through vocal instruction, by note-taking, or by reading pertinent passages.
