...Last year (2012) I also studied for and received ESL/TESOL certification from LCC, a world-wide institution that prepares English teachers for overseas assignments. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been a volunteer tutor at the LAPL Literacy Center in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles, CA. I was born in New York City to English-speaking parents; my mother was an English teacher.
