...My sorority in college supported literacy as its main philanthropy; every Friday we went to a local elementary school and read with a third grade class. We also celebrated Read Across America Day by bringing books and reading with students every year. As a Fulbright scholar in Germany, I read short stories and a few novels with my English classes.
