...I often surprise people when they find out the extent of my hearing impairment. I have several friends at college of whom I am their personal interpreter when dealing with college staff or in public situations. What I lack in teaching experience, I can fully make up for in my daily life struggles and accomplishments.

Let me tell you about myself. I am deaf in but excellent at sign language, mathematics and computer skills. However, out of the subjects, I would love to teach any student American Sign Language for odd reasons.

...I am certified in Special Ed, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, EC-4 (general) and soon Reading/Language Arts (4-8).I enjoy the challenge of helping children get over the hurdles of their education.I keep a positive outlook and have a good sense of humor. I believe, with effort, all children can succeed! I have a BA in Child Development, and a MA in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling.
