...Vocabulary building is often overlooked as a language art skill. It is one thing to review and learn to spell all the words on a weekly list, but the most important step, that of incorporating the words into one's personal vocabulary, is often not emphasized enough. I offer my students incentives for using their new vocabulary words in their daily speech and writing.
