...As the student becomes more advanced I slowly develop the lesson content so it is eventually conducted completely in Portuguese. I also enjoy very much teaching English as a second language. It is exciting to see my student feel more empowered as his or her English skills are honed through diligent practice.

...I began my higher education in California and completed my BSE in Wisconsin at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. I hold an undergrad degree and teaching credential in Spanish Education, Bi-lingual Education and English as a Second Language. ...When I see high school juniors doing basic arithmetic on their fingers it makes me cringe--and I blame the teachers, not the students! I work with young math students to be certain they feel confident in their math skills. It's not just that they learn the concepts, and have confidence, but I also instill a joy for math that serves them the rest of their lives.
