...I learned to sew at the Hove County Grammar School for Girls in southern England, as a teenager. Since, I have made clothes for children and adults, and now I sew custom rod sleeves for fly fishing rods and rod pouches for fishing reels, as part of our small fly fishing rod making business. I have made clothes and simple costumes using commercial patterns, and I have also designed my own.

Before enrolling Hunter College and Brooklyn College, I spent two years at the Art Students League in New York focusing mostly on drawing and painting. I keep on drawing on a weekly basis to keep a connection to my craft.
