Additionally, I have worked as an aide in local schools with students who were learning challenged with the process found in traditional schools. I have volunteered in Project Read instructing illiterate adults.

...In these grades many students are still learning the basic fundamentals of reading and writing, which is phonics. I have taught phonics to English Language Learners and native English speakers countless times. I worked as a special education aid for over three years in a special day class and in the mainstream.

...I passed the Algebra II Tutor qualifying exam given by the Foothill College Pass the Torch program. I have a thorough knowledge of American history and have successfully assisted a high school student with creating an American history timeline, detailing the events in America in the 1930s. I have a thorough knowledge of English grammar and once received a perfect score on a grammar test.
