...I helped students at the 2nd grade level improve their reading skills and increase their vocabulary, as well as their confidence in the area. After a fairly busy year at American River College in Sacramento, tutoring eventually became a way of life. I began tutoring a student in Kindergarten, which soon led to other tutoring opportunities with students ranging from ages 5-13.

...Throughout my high school teaching career from 1969-1992, I was the varsity golf coach at Archbishop Riordan High School. This necessitated that I was very familiar with the game, all the rules, and was able to give lessons to beginning golfers when needed. I have been an avid golfer for many years and am now back in the coaching arena.
