...I am currently a high school RSP Teacher in Petaluma, teaching study skills and math review. As a special educator, I work with my students everyday to provide extra support so that they can succeed in their general education classes. Study Skills is a non-curriculum based course that is designed to support students in their curriculum based courses.

...I can help understanding the importance of note taking, scheduling study break time, finding a good location for studying, organizing course work, etc. I also find the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summary, Test) works very well. Also giving analogies of everyday things can create pictures in the students mind that can help learning.

...I was awarded a Cum Laude honor along with my degree. I am currently employed at Safari West African animal preserve where I provide fun and educational tours for a variety of age groups. I am also currently studying for the GRE, so I am also actively trying to learn what can be very difficult to understand subjects.

...As a home schooling parent, I passed my skills and enjoyment to my own children and those of other families we studied with. I continue to use algebra in the kitchen and in my work as an artist, and appreciate its logic and beauty. As someone who aced this test as a student, I'm enthusiastic about helping others do well.

...It's a fascinating subject when combined with history. English is one of my favorite subjects to teach and tutor. I adore literature and use of the language and its rich vocabulary, and I love to help students feel comfortable with using and understanding language.
