...I started with the intention to finish a B.A. in English literature but changed to Anthropology, because it offered more options for graduate school. I attended Seton Montessori Training Institute, as I discovered a special talent within myself to educate the youngest students. While working towards my Montessori degree, I was an ABA therapist, working with autistic kids.

...I received my certification through The Literacy Council in Rockford, IL in February 2011 after attending a 20 hour workshop. I have tutored 3 students, and I am currently working with a woman from Mexico. We meet twice a week for two hour lessons.

...I have studied the language and lived in Italy for one year. I am equipped to teach more than the language; with language comes cultural learning. There is a certain style to be taught with the logistics of the language for one to more understand how to speak the language.

...At Atwood Park I teach outdoor education classes to school groups who attend the overnight field trips. These include a classroom portion as well as field study through hiking, games, and river exploration. I also teach adult couples Country and West Coast Swing Dancing on the side.
