...My tutoring experience is mostly with high school students and older. I have linguistic training in phonics/phonetics and phonology and have studied them from an academic perspective. In doing student observations and teaching (k-12) I applied and used much of that theoretical knowledge and helped students with phonics in English and in Spanish.

Even though I am an English major, I have considerable experience tutoring various levels of math. I am comfortable teaching levels up to algebra. I really love showing students how math truly does apply to everyday situations and sharing the joy of problem solving with young people.
