...In general, I favor a "hands-on" approach to teaching that involves a lot of interaction between the tutor and student, and concrete experiences in addition to worksheets. I received a B.A. in Japanese and a certificate in Asian studies from Arizona State University, 2010. For my last year of college I studied abroad at Waseda University in their Intensive Japanese Language Program. While in Japan I tutored local Japanese residents and students in English conversation where I made my own lesson plans and hand outs.
