...I have lived in Arizona for a year and I am currently a chess teacher in The Kyrene School District as well as a private chess tutor. ...Good sight singing is a necessary skill for all singers, and could mean the difference between being hired or not. Many choral directors will choose a good sight singer over another singer with a more beautiful-sounding voice, but poor sight singing skills. I use my sight singing skills often: in the Phoenix Symphony chorus and two other vocal ensembles in which I currently sing.
