I received a B.A. in Japanese and a certificate in Asian studies from Arizona State University, 2010. For my last year of college I studied abroad at Waseda University in their Intensive Japanese Language Program. While in Japan I tutored local Japanese residents and students in English conversation where I made my own lesson plans and hand outs.

...I'm an avid reader and love to teach. I've worked with children and teens for most of my life -- everything from camp counseling to tutoring in Denver's inner-city, plus teaching elementary school in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. I completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing in 2009, and I write for various blogs and publications around the web.
