These professionals generally work as independent professionals. In case of complex real estate appraisals, they also contact consultants. Among various types of tools used by the real estate appraisers, computers are considered as most important. Job description of real estate appraisers requires that these professionals walk around the concerned real estate and take required information.Analysis, research and estimation of real estate is carried out by real estate appraisers in office settings generally.

For gaining up date information, real estate appraisers also join various types of professional associations. For example, in United States, many real estate appraisers have joined National Association of real estate appraisers, American Society of Appraisers, The Appraisal Institute, etc. For appraising federal real estate transactions, all real estate appraisers are required to get license from OREA or State Office of real estate appraisers. This office has been set up in each state. As far as wages or emoluments are concerned, trainee real estate appraisers can get from $1400-2700 per month. Emoluments and earnings increases with experience. An experienced real estate appraiser can easily earn up to $4500. Demand for services of real estate appraisers is dependent on real estate activities and economic conditions. In present times, when economy of United States is expected is slow down, real estate appraisers may experience less demand. Real estate activity has also slowed down as compared to last year.
