As a music major I studied the major musical stylistic periods and the composers who were active during those periods -- for example, J.S. Bach as typifying the Baroque.

...I believe that all students have the capacity to learn on their own terms. I have seen triumphs in all types of students and classrooms--each of them needed their own pathway to making meaning out of their learning experience. What this means for me as a tutor is, taking the time to know who I am working with.

...I have received my Master's in Classics from UPitt and graduated cum laude from Pomona College with a double major in Classics and Geology. I have taught college-level Latin, semesters 1-3 as a TA and TF in Pittsburgh, as well as courses in classical mythology and Roman civilization. I have been tutoring and teaching middle and high school students in Latin since January 2009.
