...Knowing phonics, along with these other main components of reading, is key in becoming a fluent reader. In first grade there is a lot of emphasis on phonics, and since I have taught first grade for four years, I am highly qualified to tutor in this area. I have taught first graders and third graders study skills during my teaching career.
