...I've always tried to make math as relatable as possible for students who simply aren't math oriented. I know that Algebra is a tough subject to learn because of all of the various rules and concepts. But I also understand that algebra sets the frame work for all other higher level math classes.

...I enjoy working with high school students and taught Spanish 1 at Valley Christian High School Summer School several years ago. I teach Spanish and assist in an elementary school - K-5 - and so I am able to tutor elementary students in all subjects. I also enjoy working with these age groups.

...I meet them where they are at academically and personally. I use learning styles (i.e. kinesthetic [hands-on], audio, visual) appropriate each students in collaboration with the parents requests. I work 150% on engaging the student and motivating them to learn the subject matter.

Hello. I’m a credentialed and experienced teacher, mostly middle school math (I have taught the Language Arts/Ancient History Social Studies core too).
My favorite course and grade(s) to teach is Pre-Algebra with seventh and sixth graders. My youngest Pre-Al students ever, who went on to Algebra 1, were 9 years old.
