Krystie F. ...When I was a child, my first language was Spanish. Then, I learned English and I didn't want to speak Spanish because everyone in school spoke English. Spanish was something I was ashamed of speaking because I grew up in a town where the percentage of Spanish-Speaking people was about 5%. My family, being the traditional Latinos they were, would yell at me for not embracing my culture.

Once the students become comfortable holding the racquet and hitting the ball, then I move onto other complex moves. I also believe that the students should watch professional tennis teams play so they understand the game.
