...In 1999 I took a early childhood course (CDA). I have taught English as a second language in my preschool at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Preschool in Renton Highlands for more than 15 years. I was an English major in college and studied phonics and linguistics. I was a student teacher of English and journalism at Wenatchee High School.

...Writing is so important today! In high school, I wrote two junior theses and two senior theses that were over fifteen and twenty pages long, respectively. In college, I wrote many, many papers, and I was a writing TA.

...I worked as a Deaf/Blind Sign Language Interpreter for several years as well as help lead the deaf ministry at my church in Arkansas. Once I moved back to Seattle, I've done some small interpreting jobs but would love to help tutor someone. I have some connections with the Deaf community but would love to get more active and practice my skills more.

...I believe in feeling comfortable and relaxed is the best way to learn a new subject. I like to combine books, tapes and signing in class. I encourage my students to practice as much as possible in class, so they feel confident in their abilities.I have two years' experience teaching sign language 1 and 2 at the college level to college students.
