...I currently have a Level I Eduction Specialist Credential and will be finishing up my Level II within the next few weeks. Many of the students that I have worked with have multi or dual diagnoses. Often times, this includes Cognitive Delays paired with ADD/ADHD.

...Good literature is one of my primary passions in life. I have been a voracious reader all my life, continuing to this day. I have a BA with Honors in English Literature from UC Santa Cruz, where I fell in love particularly with Faulkner, Twain, and Tolstoy.

...I have been in every grade level up to 5th grade (through various experiences) and have taught phonics, reading comprehension, and fluency. I also have experience doing reading assessments. I have a K-6 license in Elementary Education from Minnesota, and a California Multi Subject Credential which allows me to teach in a K-6 classroom.

...In both high school and college, I also volunteered to assist many friends, relatives, and classmates who asked for help with their math homework or skills. My specific areas of expertise are Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, SAT Math, GMAT or GRE math preparation. Before tutoring, I worked as a product and computer science engineer for IBM and other high-tech Silicon Valley companies.
