Class sizes were small with a maximum ratio of one teacher to twelve students, and emphasis was on a highly individualized educational program with equal focus on the emotional, social and physical growth needs of each student. In my tutoring effort, I used the Slingerland Reading Program, most specifically for dyslexic students.
