...I started coursework at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006, and subsequently won three departmental awards for excellence in Germanic studies. In 2007, I spent 6 weeks studying German intensively in a summer program in Berlin. I also lived and studied in Berlin for 5 months in 2009.
