We all have new knowledge that we want (or need) to learn, and we all need help to learn it. I have a wide based education in many subjects and I love to teach and impart this knowledge to others, in order to make their lives richer and fuller. As a teenager I became fascinated by foreign languages, studied as many as I could and received awards for my studies.

I love to teach reading skills to young students in English or Spanish. I'm a "younger" retired preschool and elementary teacher of over 30 years. I have special training in Reading Recovery, which is used with struggling readers.

...I am not bilingual and would not be a good fit for someone who knows no English--I work best with students who can communicate orally or in writing at at least a rudimentary level, or with students who have mastered basic English and who want to polish their skills, correct idiomatic errors, etc....
