Tim C. ...Vocabulary acquisition is also a prerequisite as is reading, students need to read to acquire ideas and they must have a firm grasp of grammar in order to express their ideas. If they can learn the basics, a sense of style may emerge, but this is more difficult to teach as it is often intuitive. I have been teaching English language skills for 21 years, as an ESL professional.
