...When an interval is mastered, sight singing drills are practiced going from simple to more complex. As each new interval is mastered it is added to the drills. This training involves some aural training (ear training) which is tailored to the individual needs and level of the student.

...As such, I believe in learning with the student, empathizing with his or her difficulties, and finding the best way to enjoy the learning process. I don't believe in listen-and-repeat, rote methodologies, or perfection. That said, just as I have with myself, I expect a student's best effort and demand excellence.
