I am a Native Speaker from Paris and I moved to the United States in 2011. I tutored adults and children in French for five years, then I moved to New York and received an offer for a full-time job. This position included translation, editing and proofreading of documents from English to French.

...A student has to do more than learn grammar, reading, etc. but should immerse himself in the language by herself/himself through music, books, interaction with French speakers and so on. This helps to keep them engaged and should make learning more fun and relaxed. I have tutored French for about 8 years now, working mostly through Lanartco, a language company, and taught privately.
