...A well written essay with spelling and grammatical errors will not receive an A. The errors are glaring examples that the student did not take the time to review the essay before submitting it. Do not fall into this trap.

...In my senior year, I was honored with the title of San Diego Idol (2002), a spin-off of American Idol, to which I was awarded time in a recording studio and an audition with American Idol. As an undergraduate at UCSD, I joined gospel choir and an all-female a cappella group. In my sophomore year, I pursued singing and dancing with a production company in Japan.
