Esperanto

Having heard a lot about how wonderful Esperanto was, and particular how easy it was to learn, I decided to find out if these claims were true. Using Teach Yourself Esperanto and the excellent online courses on the lernu! website, I have picked up a good working knowledge of the language.

Esperanto is indeed quite easy to learn, especially if you already know English and/or a Romance or Germanic language. I have yet to meet any other Esperanto speakers though do occasionally exchange emails in Esperanto with various people and read Esperanto articles on the web.
