...I have done individual ESL tutoring since 2005 when I joined UCR’s Conversation Partners. I tutored international students (IEP students) in oral English and helped students build confidence in speaking as it is essential when learning a foreign language. In 2010 I graduated from the one year TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate program at UC Riverside.

I've been teaching for quite a long time but haven't lost my passion for it! Since starting as an elementary school teacher 26 years ago, in more recent years I have worked almost exclusively with people who are learning English as an additional language. I have taught English Learners in elementary, middle and high schools.

...I'm currently available most evening (except Fridays and Saturdays) for tutoring students. I've had two years' worth of spanish studies at the university level. I've written a paper about the Spanish language in music of Latin America for a special class in college.

...I've taught computer literacy/applications/desktop in high school and college and served as a learning resource center tutor/supervisor. I also gained expertise as a America Reads/Math Counts tutor at an elementary school. At the present time, I'm a substitute teacher for a 7-12 program.
