...My older sister was born deaf with bilateral cochlear implants. My American Sign Language is limited to an introductory level class, so I by no means am fluent enough to work with profoundly deaf children. But, having grown up with my sister, I understand the sensitivity and patience required for those who also have cochlear implants.
