...During my 25 years as a special education, I have taught several students who have had Aspergers. I also learned a lot about Aspergers when I had two students who had Aspergers in my Astronomy club. In my 25 years of teaching in special education, I have dealt with students who have autism.

...I was born deaf and American Sign Language is my native language. I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2011, and am currently a Hedge Fund Accountant at Northern Trust. ASL really is one of the most beautiful languages in the world (of course I'm biased) and I do believe strongly that more people should be exposed to the language.
