...I have a bachelor's of science degree in biology from Indiana University. When tutoring, especially chemistry, I like to work as many problems as possible with the student because the only way to get better at something is to practice! When I am teaching or tutoring students in chemistry, I like to go over the information in small amounts at a time so as not to overwhelm the student.

I have a Masters Degree in Teaching with certification in Special Education. I have taught special ed classes for over a dozen years and was the Department Chair of Special Education.

...Sometimes the problem lies with a firm grasp of the fundamentals that a teacher doesn't have time to back up and review. Sometimes the problem is merely having the concept represented in an alternate way. Sometimes the problem is that it just takes a little extra practice to master what the class is learning, and the pace is a little too quick.
