I have a Spanish Linguistics degree, but I have lived in Guatemala teaching English (EFL) for the past 4 years. In Guatemala, I have taught at the University of Landivar, private high schools/middle schools, language academies, and private lessons on my own. ...I also feel communication with the parent while tutoring the student is very important. This can just be a quick talk when the child is picked up or a note to the parent. I have usually tutored in a library, as I find this is a quiet place and also provides other books for the student.
