...My Italian record was immaculate, a perfect 4.0 average; I was even offered a modest Fulbright to attend graduate school, but I was more interested in ESL than Italian literature. As it turned out, I didn't go to graduate school, opting for a broadcasting job in New York. Since then I’ve spent most of my part-time tutoring career teaching Italian to Americans and English to foreign speakers.
