The car rental rates are available in custom rate packages for monthly, weekly, daily or even hourly rate packages. Usually hourly rates are charged with a minimum of a rental for at least one day i.e. 24 hours. There are different daily rates applicable on week days and weekends. Monday to Thursday, week day rates would be applicable and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weekend rates would be applicable. A rental tax of 10 %on the distance covered would be applicable on every hire. A qualified driver is a must to avail a car on rent and his daily wage would be $75. Usually, car rental agencies take a prior approval authorisation from you for charging your credit card to the extent of damages incurred to the vehicle in case of any discrepancy. This prior authorisation is not a charge and only payable subject to any damages to the vehicle. This authorisation may range from $1,500-$2,500 depending on the type of the vehicle you select for your trip.
A late fee of 1/5th daily rental rate per hour is charged in case you delay in time in addition to the hourly rate that is chargeable. This late fee can be avoided if you take a prior permission from the car agency and in that case only the hourly rate would be applicable.
In case you would like to cancel your trip or postpone to another date, you have to intimate the same to the car rental agency before seven days of the rental date and $100 would be charged towards cancellation fees. If notice is given within 7 days of the rental date, then a one day rental is charged. In case you would like to postpone your trip within 90 days of your rental date, then 50% of your prior reservation rental can be carried forward for your next trip.
Though Dallas has a perfect climate, there are times when it rains very heavily with heavy thunderstorms making it impossible for you go out for sight seeing. To avoid loss of reservation and car rental in that case, you can go for rainy day insurance which gives you an option of utilising your rental reservation within 5 days from your rental date. All the other charges are similar excepting that an additional rainy day insurance costing around $25 would have to be purchased. But this insurance claim can be applicable only if it rains and for any other reasons, trip can be cancelled or postponed as said earlier.

Every additional hourly rental rate is usually available at $50 on prior notice. A luxurious service in this car would cost around $90 per hour with a charge of minimum 3 hours +20% gratuity and you need to check its availability with the agency.
A Cadillac Series can be hired on a week day daily rate of $199 + tax on a week day and for $329 +tax on a week end day with an option of discount if hired for a continuous week or 3 to 4 consecutive days. The additional hourly rate is around $30 and limo service if available would cost you around $75 per hour with 3 hours minimum charge +20%gratuity.
A ford Mustang convertible can be hired on a week day rate of $169 +tax and for $279 +tax on a week end day and you can avail discount in these rates if you are willing to book on a weekly basis or for 3 to 4 consecutive days. The additional hourly rate is $25 and the limo service if available can be hired for $75 per hour with minimum 3 hours charge + 20%gratuity.
Limo service is considered to be very luxurious and pertains to high standards. You can avail it if you give more weight to your comfort than to your pocket.
