Denver is the capital of Colorado State and also the most populous city in the state. It is also called as Mile-High city as it is situated on a high elevation.
Denver was founded in the year 1958 when it was a mere piece of grassland with dusty surroundings and a few trees. However, at the present it has over 200 parks from small to national parks and mountain parks.
When it comes to recreation centers the city is not at the rear. It has over 28 recreation centers that provide relaxation and recreation to the tourists and residents. Most of the parks came into existence in the 19th and 20th centuries. This was a result of the City Beautiful Movement that was a reform movement carried out in late 90s. Lakeside Amusement Park : There are very few family oriented parks in this city and this is one of them.
Denver Museum of Nature and Science: There are a number of exhibits here including Hall of Life, Egyptian Mummies and many more. This is a type of natural history and science museum.
Coors Field: This is one of the Nation League?s first parks. It caters primarily to the baseball game.
Lower Downtown: Popularly known as LoDo. There are 29 blocks in this downtown that include restaurants, shopping centers etc. There is historic walking area that is the main attraction here.
Denver Botanic Gardens: There are more than 25,000 species here from around the world and this garden spreads across an area of more than 23 acres.
16th Street Mall: This shopping area is located in the heart of Denver and offers a variety of shopping centers and places to relax.
Sky Train: This train operates from Denver to Winter Park with awesome views on the way. This is one of the most popular attractions of the city.
Denver Public Library: This is the largest library in the greater metro area of Denver. It is well known for its books and also maps and photographs of Denver?s history.
Bluebird Theatre: This theatre offers alternative, rock, jazz and other types of live music. It was built in 1913.
