The Galleria Ice Skating Center situated at The Galleria Shopping Mall in Dallas is one you can't give a miss! Although nationally noted stars are often seen in exhibition skating, you\'ll see a lot of public skating happening. You can sit around the rink and watch your family or friends while they skate and indulge in mouth watering food. If you have kids who enjoy ice skating, you can watch them and take pictures or go shop in the mall as there is security watching over the rink. Classes are also offered at the rink inclusive of skate rentals. During Christmas, a several-stories tall Christmas tree is planted in the center, enhancing the ambience of the rink and the area around it. It's simply stupendous!

You can also visit the Americas Ice Garden in the atrium of Plaza of the Americas building which gives you a feeling of being at the rink at the Rockefeller Center in New York. It provides a sheet of ice for lessons, summer camps, public skating and broomball. Ice-skating lessons include group instructions, enrollment discounts, free public sessions during the duration of the classes (including skate rentals), etc. Summer camps include daily lessons, supervised practice, video games, snacks and public session time. It plays hosts to various events as well. As you\'re reading this, there is a High School Musical on Ice being held there.

ISI or the Ice Skating Institute is the leading ice industry trade association having members from all realms of skating - facility members, instructors, individual skaters, hockey players, suppliers, retailers, etc. Although it is an international industry trade association, it offers services for enjoyment as well. Whether you\'re a beginner skater or skate for fun, the Ice Skating Institute provides services for you to have a good time. The ISI hosts four events during the year which allows members, regardless of their skill levels, to experience the thrill of performing for an audience while competing for the fun of it. The locations vary from year to year and are usually locales which allow skaters and their families to enjoy a vacation. In an effort to create awareness about ice skating, ISI introduced the weSKATE program in 1964. Recreational Figure Skating and Hockey classes and Synchronized Skating are also offered at the ISI.

The above three are probably the more prominent skating rinks in town. Other options would be Dr Pepper Star Centers, Ice Training Center, Iceoplex Hockey Office, Ice Bound Entertainment Center, etc. You can take your pick depending on what you\'re interested in. It's all in there for you - so take a trip to Dallas and skate in the Prairies.
