Bed and breakfast in boston

You decide to take a short holiday over the weekend and visit the Boston Harbor Islands. However, the expensive costs of staying at a fancy hotel in the city bother you. Not to worry! You can R & R (rest and relax) in a B & B (bed and breakfast).

What is a B & B:

• A bed and breakfast is a type of accommodation provided to guests in a fairly large home, by its owners.

• As a guest you have your own bedroom, sometimes with a bath attached and sometimes having a shared bath with other guests.

• The room rate includes your morning breakfast, which is generally of a continental type or could be of the typical English type.

• The owners and family members usually handle the enterprise of running this type of accommodation.

• Most bed and breakfasts have the minimum requirement of staying for at least 2 nights, sometimes 3 nights.

• B & Bs are usually to be found in touristy scenic locations, away from the run-of-the-mill city spots.

• The home itself will be a quaint residence which has been given a makeover to suit the modern-day guests need for, say, internet access.

• Nevertheless, it will retain its old-world charm. Indoors, the furniture, lamps and trinkets will probably be of a bygone era, while a modern swimming pool may occupy the backyard.
