School of Museum of Fine Arts
Having a long history of art education since 1876, the School of Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is simply one of the best. It offers a wide variety of programs to cater for every budding artist. The Museum school offers courses on ceramics, drawing, film and animation, glass, painting, metals, foundations, print and paper, photography, text and image art, performance, video, sound and sculpture.
The ceramics department lays emphasis on pottery and sculpture whereas the interesting course on glass includes stained glass, sculptured glass and kiln formed glass. The Museum School has a longstanding relationship with the Tufts University and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and hence the students would be able to take advantage of the knowledge and facilities offered by these two institutions as well. For this reason, while applying for the five year combined degree course or the Master of Art in Teaching in Art Education, the application must be made to the School of Museum in Fine Arts and the Tufts University at the same time.
